Polargy Expands Manufacturing Capacity and Capabilities with Intermountain Lift

Polargy, a leader in data center containment since 2008, has acquired Intermountain Lift, a Springville, Utah-based structural steel fabrication company.

The acquisition expands Polargy’s manufacturing capacity and fabrication capabilities to support its established white space solutions, including structural ceilings, floor-mounted and ceiling-supported aisle containment systems, and structural hot aisle containment, while growing its grey space manufacturing presence for standard data center skids, prefab modules, and more. Intermountain Lift adds 78,000 square feet of manufacturing space, heavy structural handling capacity, and expanded capabilities in structural steel fabrication, pipe and tube laser cutting, plate laser and plasma cutting, and powder coating.

Founded in 1969, Intermountain Lift operates out of its facility in Springville, Utah. The facility includes 15 overhead cranes ranging from 5 to 45 tons, providing the team with the lifting capacity to handle heavy structures and streamline movement from one phase of production to the next.

“Polargy continues to invest in the capacity, capabilities, and talent needed to support customers as data center infrastructure demand grows,” said Drew Unger, EVP of Sales at Polargy. “Intermountain Lift brings deep structural fabrication expertise, strong operational capabilities, and an experienced team that will help us support larger infrastructure programs across both white space solutions and our expanding grey space manufacturing presence.”

Intermountain Lift serves customers across commercial construction, data centers, industrial applications, and more. Its capabilities support a range of fabricated components and assemblies, including laser-processed tube components, internal support frames, framing for data centers and high-tech facilities, light to medium-duty enclosures, and tube-based assemblies.  Polargy Acquires Intermountain Lift_2

The Intermountain Lift acquisition follows Polargy’s recent acquisition of Action Group Inc. (AGI), a New Albany, Ohio-based manufacturer that added approximately 200,000 square feet of manufacturing capacity and expanded Polargy’s ability to support data center infrastructure programs with additional fabrication, machining, automation, and experienced manufacturing talent.

Together, these acquisitions strengthen Polargy’s manufacturing platform and expand its ability to support customers across white space, grey space, and broader mission-critical infrastructure environments.  As data center demand continues to accelerate, Polargy remains focused on expanding the resources needed to support critical builds with speed, quality, and control.
